Materials 3 ozs. Sport yarn. Size 3 & 5 knitting needles, 3/8 yard 1/8" ribbon    Tapestry needle
Gauge In Stst with larger needles 6sts = l" . . . 8 rows =1"
Instructions Brim - Using smaller needles, cast on 57 sts.
Rows 1 and 3: kl; * pl / kl; rep from * across
Rows 2 and 4: pi; *kl, pl; rep from * across
Change to larger needles and k across next row
Increasing 3 sts evenly spaced - 60 sts.
Purl one row.
EYELET ROW
Kl; * k2 tog, yo; rep from * across, end row with kl.
Beg with a purl row, work in St st until 2 inches (22 rows from beg / decreasing 4 Sts. evenly spaced across last WS row 56sts.)
SHAPETOP
Row 1: (RS); * k5/ k2 tog; rep from * across - 48 sts,
Row 2: and all WS rows: Purl across.
Row 3: * k4/ k2 tog rep from * across - 40 sts. Continue as established, decreasing 8 sts evenly spaced every RS row
until 8 sts remain. Purl 1 row, then cut yarn leaving a small tail.
FINISHING
Weave yarn tail through rem. Sts and pull tightly to close top. Sew back seam. Weave ribbon through eyelet row / tying a bow in center front.
