Concert to Benefit Gift of Life - June 9, 2019 |

Ivy Greenburg and Ines Basso Glick present blankets and sock monkeys to Helen Bauer, conductor of The Northwinds Symphonic Band. 28 blankets and monkeys were donated to Gift of Life to comfort children undergoing heart surgeries.

Breast Cancer Support Walk at The Greens, Melville, NY - October 2019 |

Phyllis Frisher, Board Member, organized a successful walk to benefit the American Cancer Society. Care To Knit provided the pink scarves to survivors and all who participated.

#hatnothate at Meadow Drive School, Albertson, NY - October 2019 |
|
Meadow Drive School partnered with Care To Knit to raise awareness about bullying. The blue hat is the symbol of the movement and our volunteers made over 700 hats which were distributed to children at Meadow Drive and other schools in the area.
Ines Basso Glick, Executive Director, attended the assembly and spoke about anti-bullying. The blue hat on each child and teacher made a powerful statement of solidarity and kindness.

Super Knitter, Phyllis Cassell, member of The Knit Chicks Chapter, made 204 beautiful hat and scarf sets for their holiday program.

Care To Knit Honored at Americn Legion Auxiliary - December 2019 |
|
Ines Basso Glick, Executive Director, received a beautiful plaque from Patricia O'Brien, President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Manhasset, NY Post 304, at their Annual Christmas Luncheon. Care To Knit was honored for its committment to the veterans at the Veteran's Hospital in Northport, NY. The blanket donation program has been ongoing since 2009.
